Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 19, 2026

Being AI Ready is built to respect your privacy. We run a fast, static website with no user accounts, no advertising trackers, and no tracking cookies. This policy explains the limited information we collect, why we collect it, and the control you have over it.

Who we are

In this policy, “Being AI Ready”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to the operators of the website atbeingaiready.com (the “Site”). We publish educational guides about AI and maintain a curated directory of AI tools. We are the “data controller” for the personal information described below. If you have questions, contact us at[email protected].

The short version

  • We don’t sell or rent your personal information — ever.
  • We don’t use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
  • We only collect what you choose to send us (for example, a tool submission or an email).
  • Our website analytics are privacy-first and aggregated — they don’t identify you.
  • You can ask us to access or delete any personal data you’ve sent us at any time.

Information we collect

Information you give us

We only receive personal information when you actively choose to send it:

  • Tool submissions. If you use the “Submit a tool” form in ourtool directory, we collect the tool’s URL, the description you provide, an optional tool name, and your email address. We use this to review the tool and, if needed, follow up with you. Your email address is never published.
  • Emails you send us. If you email us (for example, via ourcontact page), we receive your email address, your message, and anything else you include.

Information collected automatically

  • Privacy-first analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic (such as page views and referrers). It is cookieless, does not fingerprint visitors, and does not track you across other websites. It does not collect data that identifies you personally.
  • Standard server logs. Our hosting and content-delivery provider (Cloudflare) automatically processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and requested pages in order to deliver the Site securely and protect against abuse. This is standard for essentially every website and is handled by the provider.

Cookies and local storage

We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we don’t show a cookie banner because we don’t set tracking cookies. The Site uses a single piece of browserlocal storage to remember your light/dark theme preference. That value stays in your browser, is never sent to us, and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings. Our hosting provider may set strictly necessary cookies for security purposes.

How we use information

  • To review and respond to tool submissions and to maintain the directory.
  • To reply to your questions, feedback, and other messages.
  • To operate, secure, and improve the Site and understand which content is useful.
  • To comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud, spam, or abuse.

We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.

Legal bases for processing (EEA/UK)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases under the GDPR/UK GDPR: your consent when you submit a form or email us; our legitimate interests in operating a secure website and understanding aggregate usage; and compliance with legal obligations where applicable. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.

How we share information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with the limited service providers that help us run the Site, and only as needed:

  • Hosting & analytics — Cloudflare. Serves the Site and provides privacy-first, cookieless analytics.
  • Form & email delivery. When you submit the tool form, the submission is delivered to our inbox at [email protected]. Depending on our configuration, this delivery may be handled by a form-processing service acting on our behalf (a “data processor”) solely to relay the message to us; it is not used for marketing.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce ourTerms, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Being AI Ready, our users, or the public.

Third-party links

The Site links to external websites, including the AI tools featured in our directory. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and this policy does not apply to them. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit. We are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party sites.

Data retention

We keep the information you send us only as long as needed for the purpose you sent it — for example, to evaluate a tool submission or resolve your inquiry — and to meet legal or record-keeping requirements. Aggregate analytics data is retained by our analytics provider according to their policies. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

Data security

The Site is served entirely over encrypted HTTPS. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, including the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of it, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. If you are in California, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and to request its deletion, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights — and note again that we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected]. We’ll respond within a reasonable time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Children’s privacy

The Site is intended for a general, adult audience and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

International visitors

We operate the Site globally and rely on providers such as Cloudflare whose infrastructure spans multiple countries. If you access the Site from outside the provider’s processing regions, your information may be transferred to and processed in other countries, which may have different data protection laws than your own.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be made clear on this page. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
